Provider standards
What “vetted” actually means.
Every provider holds a current Certificate of Currency for public liability insurance with a minimum cover of $10M (the Australian home-services standard floor). You can request a copy before any work begins.
Providers carry current workers’ compensation cover for any team members on the roof. You are not exposed to liability if a worker is injured at your property.
Providers hold all licensing, certifications and insurances required for painter work in Queensland under the Queensland Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 and any niche-specific licensing scheme. Compliance is checked at onboarding and re-verified annually.
Providers commit to returning every callback within business hours (Mon–Sat 7am–6pm). After-hours voicemails are returned first thing the next business day.
Providers use only the methods, tools and consumables approved by the relevant equipment or material manufacturers for painter work. Shortcuts that void warranties are not acceptable in our network.
Quotes are given in writing (SMS or email) before work starts. No surprise charges. If conditions on the day require a different scope, work pauses for your approval before proceeding.
If something goes wrong, contact us at 0480 844 742 and we will work with the provider to resolve it within five business days, in writing.
Every job gets a follow-up. Repeated negative feedback removes a provider from our network. The vetting standard is ongoing, not just the day they sign on.
Australian Consumer Law
Who is responsible for what.
Painter New Farm (operated by Wonderfiire, ABN 72918637629) is a referral service, not the supplier of the painter work. Under the Australian Consumer Law:
- The supplier (the provider who attends your property) is responsible for the consumer guarantees that apply to the work itself: due care and skill, fitness for purpose, and reasonable time of completion.
- The referrer (us) is responsible for the consumer guarantees on the referral service: providing accurate information, passing your enquiry promptly, and resolving complaints honestly.
- Our liability is limited to re-supplying the referral. The supplier’s liability for the work itself sits with them.
- Nothing in our terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
